Beaumont Hospital volunteers are exceptional, compassionate individuals who want to give back to their community. Over 2,300 people serve throughout the Beaumont Health System sharing their time and talents. They assist in hospitals, ambulatory sites, nursing homes and the community. The role of the volunteer is to enhance the capacity of services allowing the professional staff to provide the best medical and support help to our patients.

Our volunteers are unique men and women of all ages (16 years and up) from varied backgrounds with different abilities and motivations behind their interest in volunteering. However, our volunteers share a common goal: an interest in helping others and a commitment to serving. The dedication, time and efforts of our volunteers are greatly appreciated by Beaumont staff, patients and community.

We count on our volunteers to uphold Beaumont’s high standards with their experience, talents and enthusiasm. Most volunteers work a four-hour shift, once per week for a minimum of one year.
